Qualifications:

  • Be at least 19 years of age 

  • Have previous experience working in a kitchen that serves large groups of people, preferably in a camp setting.

  • Must be highly organized and flexible to changes in menu.

  • Have BC Food Safe Certification

Duties: 

  • Before Camp, help plan the menu and create shopping lists.

  • Ensure that nutritious meals are provided on time, in consultation with Program Director.

  • Ensure that meals take into account any dietary needs or allergies of campers or staff.

  • Communicate any changes in menu to Program Director. 

  • Supervise Cook’s Assistants 

  • Maintain a clean workplace and follow cleaning schedule as outlined in the Camp Grafton Policy Manual.

  • Model enthusiastic, mature leadership to campers and volunteers.

  • Be sensitive to and strive toward fulfilling the Mission of Camp Grafton.

Wage: $136/day
